Description

Edward “Eddie” Rickenbacker was born in Columbus in 1890. Although he was regarded as one of the best race car drivers in the 1910s, he is most known for his skill as a combat pilot in World War I. Lockbourne Army Air Base was posthumously named Rickenbacker International in his honor.
